In the evening return to Amsterdam for the Mondriaan Foundation’s Cocktail party for the opening of the cultural season at De Bazel.

Expect a broad range of films, both professional and amateur, from this multilingual country, where French and English intermingle with many tongues to tell West African stories with a global resonance. 8pm, The Glocal Artist Collective. Het Wilde Weten, Duende and RAIR in collaboration with Goddy Leye (Artbakery) and Hervé Youmbi (Cercle Kapsiki) will present an event about the role of local artist collectives in a global context. Goddy Leye, Hervé Youmby, the Spring Hill Institute (Birmingham), Surinam Artists Ravi Rajcoomar and Roddney Tjon Poen Gie in Residence in Duende will introduce their practices in collectives, followed by a roundtable discussion. Open to public (free entry).
